Travel down MoonRiver
Why do you go away? So that you can come back.
“Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving”-Terry Pratchett
At Moonriver , we love to travel and discover. The store began as a showcase for the objects we collected on our travels and since the last 15 years till today we are thrilled when we are packing bags to head to a new destination.
As I start this new blog , I invite you to travel down Moonriver with me. To uncover the beauties of the world in design, art, food, fashion, books and anything that feeds your soul. I hope you will enjoy the journey.
A seasoned travel I never leave without my list if top spots to hit once I reach my destination and so I would like to introduce you to the best travel guides for India - The Love Travel Guides.
Started by my dear friend Fiona Caulfield, truly as a labour of love, these guides are the most stylish and comprehensive guides I have come across. Fiona has the true knack of a curious connoisseur to discover the unusual , to get the unbeatable and to chart out the unforgettable experience. available online and in store , The Love Guides cover Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Jaipur and Kolkatta
Fiona is a true citizen of the world. Born in Australia, she has lived in the UK, the USA and Canada and since 2004 had been based in India. Fiona has a high profile global career as a futurist and branding consultant and is an avid traveller and explorer. A self-confessed luxury vagabond, she has a discerning eye for the singular experiences that set a destination apart.
She left her career as the President of a leading Future Consulting business in Manhattan, NYC to move to India in 2004 to create the Love Travel brand which she launched in February 2007. There are now five titles with a sixth in development. They are printed on hand-made paper and have hand-loom khadi cotton covers. They are designed for luxury vagabonds and they celebrate and support conscious travel.
Love Travel guides are available at MoonRiver , D16 defence colony , New Delhi or online on Love Travel Guide.

Kala Ghoda Café
10 Ropewalk Ln, Kala Ghoda,
Ph: (022) 2263 3866.
This café/bakery/gallery contributes enormously to the cool quotient of the Kala Ghoda neighbourhood. Owner, Farhad Bomanjee, a photographer and true global citizen, returned to his hometown and decided to create his perfect café in an early 20th century barn with vaulted ceilings and skylights. There are only a few tables and a limited selection of fresh simple food, locally sourced where possible. Breakfast is served all day, as well.
